Generalist Artist
At ZeptoLab, we're looking for a Senior Generalist Artist to join our team, working across our established titles and new game projects.
This is a hands-on role for a versatile artist who is equally comfortable working across 3D and 2D, implementing their work in Unity, and shaping the visual direction of a game.
What you'll do
- Create, iterate and implement 2D/3D/UI assets, animations and VFX in Unity for mobile games.
- Help establish and maintain the visual style of new game concepts.
- Work closely with Game Designers and Developers from early prototypes through production.
- Turn gameplay ideas and design requirements into clear and effective visual solutions.
- Iterate rapidly based on gameplay feedback, performance requirements and player needs.
- Contribute your own visual ideas and proactively suggest solutions.
- Estimate, prioritise and plan your work to support fast-paced prototyping and production.
What we're looking for
- Strong experience in both 3D and 2D game art.
- Hands-on experience implementing art assets in Unity.
- Good understanding of mobile optimization and performance considerations.
- Strong understanding of composition, readability and visual hierarchy.
- Experience working on mobile games; Hybrid Casual, Casual or Hypercasual experience would be a plus.
- Experience with AI tools in the creative workflow or a strong willingness to explore and adopt new AI tools.
- Experience taking games or game features from prototype to production; shipped games would be a plus.
- A strong hands-on approach — you enjoy creating and iterating yourself, rather than focusing only on art direction or management.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership and make decisions in an environment with a high degree of autonomy.
- A fast iteration and prototyping mindset.
