Junior Technician - Animatronics (Fixed Term to 29 November)

Our multi-disciplinary and dynamic Animatronics Team have been involved in some exciting, challenging and ambitious projects - with more on the horizon.
The role
We’re keen to get a Junior Technician onto the team, starting ASAP through to 29 November 2026 - assisting with the creation of mechanical and electronic components and assemblies across various projects.
Day to day you’ll be providing support to the Animatronics team, working across mechanical assembly, design, electronics and manufacturing – all under the direction and advice of our Head of Department and senior crew.
While this is a junior role, we are looking for people with:
A demonstrated aptitude with tools and craft – ideally you’ll have some experience in the industry (preferably in electronic and mechanical design, manufacture or assembly)
Exposure to robotics or animatronics-based mechanical design, 3D modelling electronics and programming (either through studies or work experience)
A willingness to learn, listen and accept constructive criticism
Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working

Additional Information
We’re based in Miramar, Wellington, and it’s onsite work, Monday to Friday - our standard working week is 42.5 hours.
