Technician - Props (Fixed Term)

Wētā Workshop houses a complete one-stop physical effects workshop under one roof, located in Miramar - Wellington

It's all made possible through intense collaboration by multi-skilled artists and craftsmen between and across our departments. The creativity, passion and tenacity of the Wētā Workshop crew is second to none.

Our Props team is responsible for creating some truly iconic pieces – and with a large project underway, they’re looking for more people to join them.

The role

We need Technicians for our Props department to join the crew - these are fixed term roles through to the end of October and November.

In the role, you’ll be applying a range of crafting skills to create products to a consistently high standard, following heath & safety standards and applying recommended practical techniques to your work.

We’re looking for people with:

· A strong range of hand and machine crafting abilities and knowledge of product creation

· The ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously when required

· Great communication skills and the confidence to speak up

· Consistency of work and a high attention to detail

We’re based in Miramar, Wellington – and it’s an onsite role.

The hours are Monday to Friday, our standard working week is 42.5 hours.

This role is fixed term through to end of October/November, and we’re looking for people to start ASAP - so apply soon!
