We’re Wētā Workshop – a design and manufacture facility making imaginary worlds a reality… from creatures to costumes, make-up to miniatures, weapons, vehicles, worlds and more! Our crew strive each day to push the boundaries of what can be achieved with physical effects.

Our IT team provide the technical support to keep our systems, tools, applications and hardware running so that our crew can do what they do best.

We’re looking for a Systems Administrator to join the team – a hands-on role bridging our Systems Engineers and IT Support Technicians.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running – you’ll know systems administration and have at least 5 years’ experience in the IT world. You will be a proactive, methodical troubleshooter, who fixes root causes – and have sound judgement on fix vs escalate vs change process.

Ideally, you’ll have experience in industries with high security requirements (e.g. banking, insurance, legal, defence etc).

You’ll be collaborative, service-minded and have good people skills – our team want to make sure our crew can get on with their work.

This is IT, but not as you know it. We’re not your standard corporate office making widgets or counting numbers – you’ll be part of a team that helps our crew bring creatures, worlds, props, robots … etc to life.

The IT team are a supportive crew and will make sure you get the best possible start.

We’re based in Miramar, Wellington - this is predominantly an onsite role, but there may be options for flexibility so please let us know what you need when you apply.
