ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Supervising Broadcast Producer is a decisive operational leader responsible for setting, driving and safeguarding the creative standard of our live broadcasts and studio productions. Reporting directly to the Head of Broadcast Creative Services, this position directly manages our team of Broadcast Producers while serving as the primary operational link between the Producing, Broadcast CG, and Design departments.
The core focus of this role is to elevate the creative quality and consistency of every production by standardising operating procedures, mentoring producers, and streamlining cross-departmental workflows. Alongside team management and operational oversight, you will also lead from the front by personally producing some of our largest flagship broadcasts and tier one live events. Acting as an in-studio creative lead, this position ensures seamless communication across teams, strict adherence to deadlines, and top tier visual narrative execution across all studio and live event broadcasts.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Directly manage, mentor, and grow the regional Producing team, setting clear performance expectations, creative benchmarks, and development paths.
- Personally produce and direct flagship broadcasts and tier one broadcasts & live events, setting the benchmark for creative execution, storytelling, show pacing, and control room leadership.
- Standardise and enforce producing procedures, including run of show documentation, pre-production workflows, story arc development, and control room etiquette. You will ensure all producer deliverables meet both EFG’s internal gold standards and external client expectations.
- Conduct regular broadcast post mortems and quality reviews with producers to continuously refine show narratives, broadcast beats, and execution standards.
- Partner closely with leadership across Broadcast CG and Design to formalise interdepartmental workflows, asset creative, handoffs, and communication channels. You will help eliminate operational silos between Producing, Graphics, and Design teams to ensure all creative elements are delivered on schedule and properly integrated into live production environments.
- Serve as the primary on-ground creative lead during live productions, making real-time decisions in the studio or control room to ensure the creative vision is executed seamlessly and without delay.
- Lead live creative troubleshooting during broadcasts, resolving operational uncertainties or technical issues affecting show narrative or crew coordination.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in live broadcast production, live event directing, creative producing, with at least 2 years in a team lead or managerial capacity.
- Proven track record of managing producers and leading live control room environments under high pressure, live broadcast conditions.
- Detailed understanding of broadcast workflows, graphics integration (Ross XPression, Unreal Engine), and live narrative storytelling.
- Demonstrated ability to enforce structured workflows, formalise asset handoff processes, and align cross functional creative teams.
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities focused on developing junior and mid level producers.
- Deep knowledge of rundown management, scriptwriting, talent management & direction, and live show pacing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a collaborative leadership style that maintains high team morale and accountability.
- Proficiency with project management platforms (monday.com, JIRA, Asana) and Google Workspace.
- Willingness to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends) aligned with live broadcast schedules, and travel periodically for live event activations.

- In depth understanding of competitive esports titles, gaming culture, and broadcast formats.
- Formal qualifications in Broadcasting, Television, Film, Mass Communication, or a related media discipline.
