About this role

About the role

We at Playrix are certain that our success results from our talented team's efforts. Every day our programmers develop new features, events, and mechanics for our games, which are played by millions of people around the world.
We're looking for a Technical Director with a focus on AI to join one of our flagship products. You will lead a strong team of programmers, own the product's technical development, and drive AI-powered innovation both within the product and across the company — automating production pipelines, improving development workflows, and unlocking new capabilities for our teams.
We value sharing best practices and mutual support within our teams. We pay great attention to code quality and reliability. We work with modern C++ standards, making the most of its capabilities.

  • Bar raiser: you are never satisfied with the status quo and challenge yourself, your teams, and your peers

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, including 5+ in senior management roles

  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Director, CTO, or Director of Engineering

  • Proven leadership and "manager of managers" experience with a team of 35+ engineers

  • Experience in creating a tech strategy for a large software product

  • Proven experience leading AI-powered initiatives from idea to production, with measurable improvements in productivity, delivery speed, or quality

  • Experience integrating AI into development workflows and production pipelines, and driving adoption across multiple teams

  • Strong understanding of modern AI technologies, including LLMs and AI agents, their practical applications, limitations, and integration trade-offs

  • Strong technical expertise and previous hands-on experience as a software engineer, preferably in large mobile products (iOS/Android native, C++/C#/Java/Scala). Nice to have: experience with complex in-house or Unity/Unreal game engines
