About your team 

As a Finance, Legal & Ops team, we are business partners in Eneba. By cooperating and supporting the organization in finance and accounting topics we strive to enable growth, optimize and improve the current internal processes. At the same time we act as strategic advisors whose input helps shape the roadmap of product teams.

As Head of Accounting&Automation, you will own the accounting function for a growing group of 8+ legal entities across two equally important dimensions: the team and the systems. On the team side, you'll build and lead the accounting team, operationalize new entities as we expand into new jurisdictions, and ensure compliance across all of them. On the automation side - increasingly the bigger, more strategic half of the role - you'll own our accounting data and tooling roadmap. You'll spot where AI and automation can replace manual reconciliation, reporting, and month-end work. Then you'll lead the search, evaluation, and selection of the right systems and tools, and manage the vendors and implementation partners who bring them to life. This role suits someone who thinks like an owner and enjoys building and creating, while also leading a team and staying on top of multi-jurisdiction compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional accounting projects end-to-end — partnering with Product, Tech, Legal, and Commerce on initiatives like new business lines and models, process flows implementations/changes&automation rollouts.

• Build and lead the accounting team - hire, structure, assign entity ownership, and manage performance.

• Implement accounting technologies and tools; drive AI adoption and automation across the function.

• Operationalise new group entities - set up charts of accounts, accounting processes, and intercompany relationships; implement group structure changes in accounting.

• Develop and maintain internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures; evolve accounting processes as the product grows and new business lines are introduced.

• Coordinate group audits and ensure GAAP compliance across all jurisdictions.

• Ensure compliance with financial covenants and oversee regulatory reporting obligations across group entities.

• Oversee tax reporting and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filings across all jurisdictions.

• Act as the primary contact for various departments and external parties (tax consultants, auditors) regarding accounting matters.

Requirements

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years managing teams.

• Proven track record of leading, building, or scaling an accounting team.

• Deep expertise in Lithuanian GAAP and/or IFRS, intercompany accounting and consolidation.

• Strong business acumen, ability to understand business in detail by connecting the responsibilities and inputs of all organizational units.

• Proficient in accounting close processes, audit coordination, and financial statement review and analysis.

• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.

• AI tools experience and a mindset for automating manual workflows.

• Exceptional time management, task ownership, and prioritization skills.

• Fluency in both English and Lithuanian (written and spoken).

• Experience in a high-growth tech, marketplace, or e-commerce company would be a plus.

Compensation

Starting from €5,500 gross/month, the final offer will depend on your experience and skills.
