At Embark, you will join the game services group, a collective of teams powering player-facing online functionality, and managing highly scalable backend systems. In this role, you will work with online systems related to player progression, social interaction, game orchestration, monetization and authentication.

The challenges you will solve are similar to those found in distributed data-intensive platforms, but applied to live service games. Most of your time will be spent in a small number of core services, as part of a complex, interconnected gaming ecosystem.

You are expected to take responsibility, ownership and identify what needs to be done. You will be part of a highly collaborative environment where you work together across teams to bring the best experience to our players.

Our core technologies include Go, C++, Unreal Engine 5, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), SQL (using Google Spanner), Redis, Kubernetes, and Bazel.
